Woods, now 49, had been trying to ramp up his preparations for the Masters, but this injury will likely keep him out for the entire 2025 season, including the Masters, which starts on April 10 . Even Rory McIlroy thinks Woods won’t be back until 2026 .

This injury is a significant blow to Woods’ plans to return to competitive golf. He had already been dealing with the aftermath of his mother’s passing and had withdrawn from the Genesis Invitational .
